We are very excited to present this month's topic:

"Surviving the PCI Self Assessment"
The Payment Card Industry Standards ( PCI) is a requirement that all vendors that wish to utilize credit card services as a payment process must meet. The PCI self assessment process can be a daunting endeavor for businesses whose core competency is not IT and would just rather just focus on their daily transactional business. Meeting Overview:
The PCI Self Assessment
- Accept credit cards or outsource?
- What is PCI specific data and how should you deal with it before you are asked to self assess?
- What should my company do now to prepare?
- The difference between compliant and secure networks.
- The QSV glitch’s; how some QSV’s will have you violate the PCI guidelines to cover others while making you fail.
- Review of the PCI self assessment guidelines and what they mean to you now.

Guest Speaker:
James Placer (CISSP) - Focuses on security architectures and compliance with industry guidelines. He will be focusing on what you need to do when you have received the request for a self assessment and also what you should be doing prior to receiving such a notice.
