David Behen, State of MI CIO
Management and Budget and Michigan’s chief information officer, David B. Behen sets strategic direction and ensures innovative, effective and efficient services to more than 47,000 state employees and 9.9 million Michigan citizens. CIO Magazine presented Michigan with its CIO 100 Award in 2013 and 2016. ComputerWorld named Behen among its 100 Premier IT Leaders. Government Technology named Governor Snyder and Behen to its top-25 list of IT doers, dreamers and drivers.
Rod Davenport, State of MI CTO
Rod is an I.T. professional with 20 years of experience across a variety of industries including publishing, automotive, health care, and energy with skills developed across a broad array of computer technology disciplines. He is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer for the State of Michigan, responsible for IT Strategy, Vendor Management and Innovation, and Infrastructure & Operations. Prior to joining the State, he was most recently employed with DTE Energy where he focused on innovation and emerging technologies as well as taking a lead role in Department of Energy research grants conducting an analysis of Smart Grid communication protocols. Rod holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Lawrence Technological University.
